Biography: Applecross Estate joiner. He came to live in Cruary, possibly in the late 1930s, to the house which was a tied house for the joiner’s job. He was for many years an elder in the Church of Scotland, and was also a precentor. His brother Duncan (Gog-Gog) was the bàrd. Another brother was Ali MacCoinnich, and a sister was Mrs Hardie, who ran the Temperance Hotel with her husband.
