Biography: He was manager of a Co-op shop in Uist (Lochmaddy or Lochboisdale?). Then he returned to Applecross and had a shop beside Milltown pier (Mike Summers’ garage). He then joined the Applecross estate. When MacKay died, he became Applecross estate manager. He gave up this job due to failing eyesight, and died at the young age of 52. His son, Angus Ross, joined the Highland Constabulary, before joining the Metroplitan Police and rising to the rank of Chief Inspector(?)
