Murdo’s son Roddy is reputed to have made his fortune at the time of the Boer War; and Murdo’s  daughter called Johanna (known as Hannah) moved out to Canada where Roderick had a big store in Prince George, British Columbia. Hannah’s son John Morrison (Seonaidh Hannah) became mayor of Prince George, and visited Applecross yearly well into his old age.Two of Seonaidh Hannah’s grandsons became well-known ice hockey players.
